The CANADIAN TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH FORUM (CTRF), in cooperation with several other organizations, is offering scholarships of $4,000 each for the academic year 2010-2011. Awards are tenable at any university with a transportation or related program, with preference given to Canadian institutions. Field of study may be in business administration, engineering, economics, geography, law, planning or other fields. In keeping with the mission of the CTRF, preference will be given to policy and business oriented studies. Students who hold a SSHRC, NSERC or other significant national or provincial award are not eligible.
Scholarships are sponsored by organizations including Transport Canada, CN, CPR, Ministère des Transports du Québec, as well as other companies and individuals. To be considered for a CTRF Scholarship sponsored by Transport Canada, the applicant's research area must be focused on one of the following three areas: Sustainable Transportation, Transportation Safety & Security, and Transportation Integration & Intermodalism.
